At Blackrow, we believe it is important to support our employees with causes that are close to their heart. Paul Wright is no stranger to fundraising, and has previously organised a charity football match.

Now, Paul has decided to take on the London Marathon in memory of his friend Lee Clarke who sadly passed away this year.

Raising money for The Health Tree Foundation

Paul has decided to raise money for The Health Tree Foundation, that help to support our local NHS. Paul’s friend Lee spent his last days at the Amethyst Garden in Grimsby Hospital. The Amethyst Unit is home to the haematology, oncology and rheumatology services and all donations are being used to make what is an extremely difficult time for patients and their families a little more bearable. It is hoped that the funds with give families the space that they deserve to come to terms with their devastating situation and transform the Amethyst Garden.

Taking on the London Marathon

The London Marathon will take place on 2nd October 2022, and it will be no mean feat. 26.2 miles across London, from Greenwich to The Mall will require all of Paul’s grit and endurance. Last year a staggering 40,000 people took part, and this year over 350,000 entered the ballet to try and secure a place in the race. Paul is one of the lucky ones to get through, and all for a fantastic cause.

Blackrow are proud to suppport Paul and wish him the best of luck with the race. If you would like to donate and help Paul raise money for The Health Tree Foundation, please visit his JustGiving page.
