It all starts with skills, National Apprenticeship Week 2026.

NAW 2026: Apprenticeships continue to play a vital role

At Blackrow Group, apprenticeships continue to play a vital role in the future of our business and the wider engineering industry. As we mark National Apprenticeship Week 2026, we are proud to recognise the contribution of our apprentices and the important role they play across the company.
We currently support more than 40 apprentices across a wide range of disciplines, including fabrication, machining, electrical, design, and site-based engineering. Each apprentice gains valuable hands-on experience by working on live projects alongside skilled professionals, helping them develop the technical knowledge and practical skills needed for long-term careers in engineering.
Our apprenticeship programme is built around real-world experience, one-to-one mentoring, and structured training that aligns with specific engineering roles. Many of our apprentices go on to build successful careers within Blackrow, while others progress into the wider industry with the confidence and experience gained during their time with us.
In addition to our apprenticeship programme, Blackrow remains actively involved with local schools and colleges throughout the year. Our teams regularly attend careers events and provide work experience opportunities, helping young people understand the wide range of career paths available within modern engineering.
Apprenticeships are not only an investment in individuals. They help strengthen our workforce, support our clients, and ensure the long-term future of UK manufacturing and engineering.
