Case Study Description

Project Objective

Project Scope

What many couldn’t have predicted is that this project would have to be completed under the confines of the COVID-19 global pandemic, a first for all those involved. Safety is always paramount when carrying out on and off-site works but even more so in these conditions which required the team to allow for social distancing, increased hygiene measures and adherence to Government guidelines.

To ensure the safety of all involved the following measures were put in place:

  • Site safety team implemented negative COVID-19 tests before entering the site (These where carried out by the safety team)
  • Regular updates and briefings involving the entire team, ensuring specific instruction was given on how to operate and what PPE was required
  • Documented RAMS packs were provided which gave details on how to reduce the risk of the virus in various workplace situations
  • Increased hygiene and PPE measures, and social distancing

Because of these measures, Blackrow Health & Safety Team and the clients Health & Safety Advisors, we are pleased to report there were zero incidences of COVID-19.

Not only was the risk of Coronavirus managed, but the project was delivered with no delays.
