Blackrow Wind to Attend Global Offshore Wind 2025 – Supporting the Drive to Net Zero
Blackrow Group is proud to announce that we will be attending Global Offshore Wind 2025 on the 17th and 18th June at ExCeL London. Representing Blackrow Wind at the event will be Lewis Crowther, Luke O’Brien and Nick Rands, who are looking forward to connecting with industry leaders, engineers, and partners shaping the future of offshore wind.
Organised by RenewableUK, this year’s conference focuses on the urgent actions needed to meet the UK’s and global offshore wind targets for 2030. With over 5,000 attendees, the event provides a valuable platform to share insights, form strategic partnerships and explore innovations driving the energy transition.
Why Blackrow Group are Attending
At Blackrow Wind, we are committed to supporting the global shift to cleaner, more sustainable energy. Our decision to attend Global Offshore Wind 2025 is rooted in our ongoing mission to provide the offshore wind sector with reliable, innovative, and safety-driven engineering solutions.
As the industry prepares for rapid expansion, the need for trusted partners capable of delivering high-quality work under demanding conditions is greater than ever. With a strong background in engineering and fabrication, we understand the complex challenges involved in offshore operations, and we’re here to help solve them.
What We Do: Engineering Support for a Greener Future
Blackrow Wind specialises in designing, fabricating and maintaining critical components and systems for offshore wind infrastructure. Our services are tailored to meet the operational demands of the wind energy industry and include:
- Detailed Surveys & Engineering Assessments
- Offshore & Off-site Fabrication
- Complex Mechanical Repairs & Up-tower Shaft Repairs
- NDT Inspections and Welding Maintenance
- Service Lift Hinge Repairs and Retrofits
- Vessel Mobilisation/Demobilisation Support
By combining our engineering heritage with a future-facing approach, we’re able to take on complex and non-standard projects that fall outside of traditional OEM service agreements.
Innovation in Action
Our team continues to develop practical innovations that enhance safety and performance in offshore operations. A recent example is our Switchgear Locking Plate – a bespoke solution that improves maintenance safety within turbine switchgear systems. Rigorously tested and now widely trusted across the industry, it’s a reflection of how we approach challenges.
In another case, we successfully executed a fast-turnaround service lift hinge repair ahead of a critical main bearing change. By cold cutting and reinforcing the structure with upgraded hinge plates, we ensured that operations could proceed without delay, demonstrating both our technical skill and our responsiveness.
