Blackrow were commissioned for the design, manufacture and installation of a Lube Oil System.

Sector:                      UK Capacity Short Term Operating Reserve (STOR)

Services:                  Mechanical and Electrical, Design and Installation

Project Objective:   To Design and Install a Lube Oil System that can Pump Clean / Dirty Oil to and From the Engines from storage tanks.

Project Scope

In early 2018 Blackrow were commissioned for the design, manufacture and installation of a Lube Oil System that was able to pump both clean and dirty oil to and from the engines from relevant storage tanks.

The project encompassed the design of the solution along with the mechanical and engineering manufacturing skills of Blackrow’s specialist Process Engineers, Sheet Metal Workers, Fabricators, Mechanical Engineers and Electricians.

As the team were working with electrical systems, Health and Safety was paramount requiring Blackrow to work in line with the below standards:

  • CE Standards
  • ISO 9001
  • EN 1090-1
  • The Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations (2006/42/EC)
  • Low Voltage Directive (2006/95/EC)
  • Requirements for electrical installations. IEE Wiring Regulations, Seventeenth Edition (BS7671)

This was yet another project that ran on-time and to budget.  This efficiency was supported by our Project Managers and on-site engineers who were able to respond quickly and efficiently to any design changes that were required throughout the life-cycle of the project.
