Speaking about the new deal, Assistant Manager, Jason Flint explained,

“We are really pleased with the Blackrow partnership. Baz [Dan Barrett], Scott [Drury] and myself talked about the importance of Grimsby-based companies and trying to get more familiar faces, friends and family into the ground this season.

Blackrow did some work at the ground last season to help ensure Grimsby Borough passed ground grading, something that is required to remain in the league, so it felt natural for us to then discuss sponsorship opportunities for the upcoming season with them.

I've known Luke O'Brien for around 20 years, and the meeting with him and the other Directors went really well and they understood the vision of the club and the passion of those involved - they were keen to support and be a part of it. I genuinely believe it's a partnership that has longevity in it, and goes beyond just this season - it's massive for Grimsby Borough."

New kit to be unveiled

With the new deal, comes a new home kit which will be a collaboration of the Blackrow brand colour palette and the Grimsby Borough club colours.
